Approval Date 8/15/2022 Edventures in Learning Cost 1,200/per semester M/W and T/Th 10:00 2:40 Edventures in learning is a thorough K 2 program that provides students an exciting literature rich learning experience where they are exposed to all the CORE subjects through a variety of engaging and innovative activities. Hands on projects will speak directly to a childs sense of wonder and adventure. Curricula is correlated to 1st 2nd grade standards and teachers provide regular communication between parent, student, and charter school through our online learning management system, Schoology. Storybook STEM and Slime Cost 150 M/W and T/Th 2:40 3:40 In Storybook STEM and Slime learners will dive into various themed childrens books then participate in interactive activities that use Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and slime to put their creativity to the test. Performing Arts Cost 150 Friday 9:00 9:55 10:00 10:55 11:00 11:55 12:45 1:40 1:45 2:40 This class introduces students to performing arts by emphasizing creativity collaboration through lessons, improvisational games and creative music and movement. Areas covered in depth will include theatre vocabulary, roles in the theatre, stage placement, movement, acting, reading scripts and small skit performance. Previous Future offerings The Adventure Series Cost 300per semester This course is a comprehensive unit study that will take students on an educational adventure while studying some of historys favorite inventors and their inventions. Students will learn all about the scientist or inventor, their childhood history, characteristics, successes and failures, as well as some of their greatest inventions and contributions Lego Landmarks Cost 150 per semester This course is designed to take students on a journey around the world as they explore famous world landmarks and record facts about them. Then they will test their creativity and ingenuity while replicating each landmark using LEGOs. Students will learn to work both independently and in small groups. It is time for facts AND fun. Course content, as well as extended study suggestions, will be provided weekly through Schoology. In the extended study section, you will find printable materials, vocabulary, landmark coloring book, craft projects and/or hands on activities. Books and Bites Cost 150.00 per semester Students in this literature based course will focus on one engaging childrens book each week and then create a delicious snack that goes with it Together we will learn about predicting, retelling, and sequencing stories. Students will practice basic math when they measure ingredients comprehension as they learn to follow recipes independence as they create snacks on their own and team building as they learn to work in groups
